Diabolotreff

Die EJC 2014 liegt hinter uns - was für eine großartige Woche. 2000 werfende, fangende und das Leben genießende Menschen sind in Millstreet, mitten im Nirgendwo von Irland, zusammengekommen. Eine Gruppe von Diabolotrefflern war natürlich wieder mitten drin. Und wir haben euch ein paar Highlights mitgebracht.

Tim auf der Open Stage

Was am Anfang der EJC noch eine fixe Idee war, ist ein paar Tage später dann wirklich Realität geworden: Tim ist auf der Open Stage aufgetreten. Mit Donald Grant und Victor Kee als Zuschauer in der ersten Reihe. Schaut auch auf jeden Fall das Video an (sorry für das Wackeln, das war ich). Diabolo Battle

Einige kennen vielleicht die Diabolo Battles aus Brüssel. Mit dem gleichen Konzept hat Luis (wis) einen Abend für Diabolospieler auf die Beine gestellt. In der Jury waren Priam, Donald Grant und Alexis - ein runder Mix. Unter den Teilnehmern unter anderem Dekel, Nico und Robin. Tatsächlich zählte aber nicht nur, wer die meisten Diabolos mit auf die Bühne brachte, sondern wer insgesamt am meisten überzeugen konnte. Und es hat uns alle sehr gefreut, dass unser Kevin den 1. Platz gemacht hat. Eine Video-Compilation der verschiedenen Kontrahenten kommt wohl noch. Bam, geiles Event! Ich freue mich aufs nächste Jahr.

Planet Diabolo

Auch wenn die DVD schon etwas länger verfügbar ist, hat Nico ein Screening von einem Ausschnitt des Films organisiert. Ein Großteil des Teams war dort und hat etwas zum Making Of erzählt. Schön!

Ich habe eine Handvoll Fotos öffentlich auf facebook hochgeladen. Lest gerne auch die Kommentare, die Steve Mills zu den Bildern abgegeben hat. Ja, das ist derjenige, nach dem der “Mills Mess” benannt ist. Und OHMEINGOTT, dieser Typ ist faszinierend. Vielleicht gibt es noch Fotos von seinem Makeup, als er Victor Kee auf der Renegade imitiert. Nein? Auch okay.

Und nächstes Jahr?

Da Karlsruhe für die EJC 2015 absagen musste, wurde kurzfristig gesucht und ein neues Orga-Team aus Österreich mit einem Gelände in Südtirol (Norditalien) gefunden. Es werden noch Helfer aller Art gesucht:
